Barbieri at MIPEL 129 Milan 2026: Silk Accessories at the International Leather Goods Fair

24 February 2026

From 22 to 24 February 2026, the 129th edition of MIPEL returns to Fiera Milano Rho, the historic benchmark event for the leather goods and fashion accessories sector. With the concept “Reinventing Mipel,” the exhibition opens a new chapter in its history, presenting a completely renewed format, an experiential layout designed by Lombardini22, and an even more strategic positioning within the renowned exhibition district.

Promoted and organized by Assopellettieri, with the support of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and the Italian Trade Agency (ICE), MIPEL confirms its role as a global platform capable of attracting international buyers and showcasing the best of Made in Italy alongside carefully selected international brands.

Approximately 200 brands, including Barbieri, will present their Autumn/Winter 2026/27 collections: handbags, luggage, trolleys, backpacks, belts, wallets, gloves, and accessories that interpret the evolving needs of a changing market.

Reinventing Mipel: A Contemporary Observatory on Fashion Accessories

The February edition marks a significant shift for MIPEL, which moves to Hall 5, occupying its front area and benefiting from greater visibility and centrality.

This new setting enables the creation of fluid, intuitive, and coherent pathways, transforming the exhibition space into a true “Observatory” of the leather goods world.

The “Reinventing Mipel” concept responds to the challenges of a sector that, despite facing a complex phase, continues to represent a cornerstone of the Italian fashion system. The goal is to offer exhibitors a cutting-edge trade fair platform and buyers an immersive experience that seamlessly combines business, content, and inspiration.

With this renewed focus, MIPEL is no longer just a commercial showcase, but a strategic meeting place for the entire supply chain: a space where artisanal craftsmanship meets innovation, sustainability, and new distribution models.

Barbieri at MIPEL 129: Silk as an Identity Language

Within this dynamic and highly qualified context, Barbieri’s participation takes on strategic significance. If MIPEL represents excellence in leather goods and fashion accessories, Barbieri interprets its most refined and textile dimension, bringing to the fair a collection that dialogues with the world of leather through the lightness and depth of silk.

Scarves, foulards, twillies, and kimonos for the FW 2026/27 season perfectly align with the contemporary vision of accessories as identity-defining elements. In a market where detail makes the difference, Barbieri accessories become the natural complement to high-end leather goods, completing the total look with a touch of sophisticated elegance.

Why Barbieri is Present at MIPEL

Why are we also present at MIPEL? To strengthen relationships with Italian and international buyers, and to connect with boutiques and concept stores attentive to material quality, refined finishing, and coherent product storytelling.

At a time when the sector demands vision, solidity, and clear positioning, Barbieri chooses a platform that enhances Made in Italy with a contemporary perspective.

The Barbieri exhibition space integrates harmoniously within the new layout of Hall 5. Silk, the undisputed protagonist, is enhanced through draping techniques and carefully studied color combinations designed to express an educated, cosmopolitan femininity that transcends seasons.

MIPEL thus confirms itself as an unmissable event for those who view fashion accessories not as mere complements, but as a statement of personal style. In this unique and exclusive scenario, Barbieri stands as the perfect interpreter of textile elegance that transcends markets, languages, and generations, reaffirming the value of silk as a symbol of refinement and vision.
